Sorry for the late update, guys. For the F/W fashion week this year, I went to Seoul Fashion Week in Korea. That was my first time i got the chance to go to Korea which i was actually on a week semester break. I had so much fun there because i got to learn a bit of their culture, went for a cruise, and the shopping there is crazy besides went there for a fashion week. In Korea, the fashion trend there is quite fast and high quality, their Visual Merchandising there also good compared to Malaysia. The weather there when i went is supposed to be spring but it was still like winter and when i touchdown it was 0 degree celsius. there are some photos that i want to share with u guys, Check it Out ! ;

MIFA Shinju Pearls

I worked for Mifa for a day last weekend and it's really a good experience for a fashion student like me to have the opportunity to work while u can see the fashion show that is happening. The models there they dressed up like mermaids with a very beautiful make up mermaid like style. I love the props that they used because it suits with the fashion show stuff that they are selling which is Shinju pearls (under the sea), the props are like on a pirate ship which is so creative and amazing. I had fun there working and met some new people there , i got a good pay too for just a 3 hours working :) sorry cuz i don't have any photos of the fashion show :(

Females for New Hope Cambodia

This is a collage that full with our booth pictures for Visual Merchandising Charity Flea Market for the NEW HOPE CAMBODIA. We named our group the FEMALES and for this charity booth, we asked around for donation for stuff that people no longer used. For my group we sell accessories, other students they sell books, house deco, clothes, etc. We came up with ideas of english cute garden theme. We used a dark blue umbrella, baby pink table cloth, tricycle with colorful flowers in it, wood tree deco for the earrings, fake grass for other accessories and wood medium black board to promote our stuff. Besides accessories, we sell sardine roll, marshmallows and sweet corn pudding too, just nice with the weather that is hot and for people to eat something while shopping. We won a prize and received a certificate for "The Best Display" and "The Best Sales".

Visual Merchandising

This photo is my last semester 1st project for Visual Merchandising class. We've been given a theme for this project and that is FOOD + FASHION. Who doesn't love food? We all do, and we love fashion too. So, we got inspired by RAYURE, because they always sell simple yet quality clothes with limited colors for every season. There was 1 day i passed by their shop and their clothes are all white. so, we decided to do a white display using white foods and white home decoration and furnitures just like Selfridges, London display before (furnitures). We used white foods like macaroons which is the trend food at that time in Malaysia, also milk that we displayed in the vintage milk bottle. We also used lightings and candles to make it look warm and cosy look at the same time. This project is just a 2 hours display in the class + presentation. My Lecturer said that we really inspired by RAYURE. What we didn't satisfied with this is we didn't have white carpet to make it look more like home and beautiful :(

gallo by Thian

GALLO'S S/S COLLECTION FASHION SHOW

Gallo by Thian is a designer brand from Malaysia. She started her career with a small business in Bangsar and has expanded to The Gardens Shopping Mall. Moreover, this was her first fashion show that was held last week and I find it interesting when she made her fashion show different when the models catwalk her collections with some drama about her love life with her beloved husband. Her collections were colorful that made it looks sweet, fresh, cheerful, cute kind of color that suits with the season now, i just love it. U can check it out/shop online at her official website ; http://www.gallobythian.com/

history of fashion subject

This is my design for our final project of history of fashion subject. In this project, we need to use a doll and make a dress for them by what have inspired us from what we have studied. So, this is my barbie doll, and i designed a dress for her that have inspire me from the romantic era & later victorian and edwardian era.

The materials I used was the diamonds, black suede fabric for the stage and clutch, a glass box, a small box for the stage, and stretchable purple fabric for the dress.

In that time, I couldn't find any an asian barbie that is expensive and beautiful so I bought her which is the cheap one and transform her to look expensive and luxurious barbie . With the combination of those diamonds and the glass box, I've made it :)

When i designed this garment i imagined an asian celebrity wear it that's why I chose this barbie.

Comment i got from friends;

"Ur barbie looks very much like you"
"Ur barbie looks so you"
"Ur barbie is like representing the real you"
"Ur barbie looks expensive and looks like the collective items barbie"
